This is how I imagine my upstairs neighbor to be like. When she walks around, I can hear her. She's a very hyper person because she never seems to sit down. Well - except when she has to the bathroom. When she has friends over, I can hear them trumpeting their conversations as if they were either deaf or maybe they think they are in a noisy club.
My neighbor has decent taste in music. I'm sure her sound system must look like this. I love how she has located her massive subwoofers directly above my desk. And who knew elephants can dance?
She also has a pet. Thankfully she's quiet most of the time. But when the pet runs around at night, it sounds like I'm back in the wild west. Did I mention the pet has a small ball that also bounces and rolls around? Argh...
The condo has advised me that the next time I complain about her (4 times already), I need to document the time, record the security guard's name, ask the guard to come inside my unit to verify the noise is not tolerable. Then they can start documenting her misdeeds and the condo lawyer will send her a warning.
I've actually met her once. It was past 1 AM and I stomped upstairs in my shorts. She and her friends were blasting away and actually on the way out. She saw me and said "yes, I'm leaving now..." So now I have a log all set up just waiting for her to blast away. The condo board is aware of my issues. Let's just hope she falls into my mouse trap. Ahh... the joys of living in a condo.

This is my biggest fear about living in condos, after having done the apartment thing for 7 years. My sister actually lives in a townhome complex which negates the upstairs/downstairs neighbor issue, and they have triple-wall construction for the shared walls.
Hopefully you can build up a case against her; she obviously knows what she's doing and living like that is just plain inconsiderate.
ryc: Thanks!! I hope so as well.
Oh, I wonder she ever walked around with high heels, that'll drive me crazy!
I hope bad karma would catch up on her soon!
And thats why I like having a house and yard....Even though the neighbour's dogs drive me right crazy when I'm trying to sleep in on a Sunday morning I don't have dancing elephants listening to music at twenty thousand decibels! *G* I do not miss living in a condo or apartment or duplex...sorry had to say it
Merry Christmas Matt, I truly wish you the best time and all the love you deserve which is a lot! 'Til The Next
That's a funny description of your neighbor. Sorry to hear that she's causing you such pain, though. Does she have hardwood floors? Maybe a nice thick carpet would be the perfect Christmas gift for her!
I had the same problem with my neighbor when I was renting an apartment. Actually, he held choir practice in his apartment - at least that was when I was at work. Found out about it when my work schedule got changed. Actually, the police took care of the matter - I was later told by one of the little old ladies who rented on the same floor. Took him away she said.
.
I am not into Christmas this year either. I do have my vacation scheduled around the holiday to get more days off in a row
buy a gun ... then visit her with it holstered at your side
Yours is noise problem. Mine is smell problem! My neighbor decided to have a weed party and it smells like stinky pot on the whole floor, including my apt! Eww!
well that just made me decide against living in a condo/flat/apartment--sharing a building with all those people!
