  • This is my man purse - ok, my knapsack.  It's been with me for many years now and has accompanied me on my travels.  It's sort of been a quiet, faithful companion and has carried my books, magazines, clothes, camera / film, laptop, files and papers from work, groceries, shoes, wine etc.. (of course not at the same time).  I also keep pens, batteries, hand cleaner, tissue, note pad and god knows what else in there.  If you see someone lugging this knapsack around - that just might be me!

Yep, I have nothing to write about except my knapsack.  Actually I'm just procrastinating from some work I took home to do.  I saw my knapsack and the rest is history.  I guess I'll have to go back to my work now.

Well, one more pic - some food porn.  I made this fried rice in just over an hour.  If I have to cook during a weekday, I don't want to spend more than an hour from the time I hit the kitchen to the time food goes into my mouth.  I cooked the rice the night before - it's better that way.  I could have chopped up the BBQ pork the night before too but I was worried it might get dry.  I just noticed tonight that I had more leftover rice that I could have used for this.

  • The rice looks yummy!
You know what, I don't remember unsubscribing -- maybe I was drunk blogging?

  • I am hungry .... give me some fried rice hehe...^^

seeing your knapsack makes me think of eason chan's song.....

  • Haha, that's a nice, fashionable knapsack. I have an actual "murse" (short for manpurse) myself from Fred Perry. Your food looks fantastic as always!

Thanks for the mentor suggestion, btw. I did have a student mentor throughout the semester, and she was extremely helpful in some situations. But what I really (and desperately) need are some people whom I can connect with on a more substantial level.

  • Fried rice is like a love potion to me!  LOL

  • Looks good! And thanks!

  • No way! I was wondering where Oneton went  =]

  • Thanks scruffy

Speaking of recipes, I made a new one!

  • If you have left overs send them to me. I don't want to cook after work either and at times it is too late for me to do anything good.
RYC: I just got fed up with all the people I met over the holidays who disregard our world and think everything belongs to them. No not my close friends--people I met at parties.

  • mm... i haven't made fried rice in a long time.  looks good!

my constant companion backpack is developing a big hole (after having it since high school).  i'm going to have to get a new one, and i'm trying to decide what to replace it with.

  • Oh, that's not a manpurse.  No way... Trying to pass yourself off as some sort of metrosexual.

The fried rice, though - that's the real deal!

  • Oh! You changed your name on here. I just connected that. How funny. That's why I re-subscribed! Doh!

  • now Matt, did you not read that article in the G&M back, oh, 3 years ago which spoke about men over a, er, certain age who continue to carry knapsacks versus courier bags/briefcases? .....

  • I would love to try your fried rice!! *drools*

  • Let me know when you're feeling well enough to cook for me!  LOL

  • It cannot have effect in actual fact, that is exactly what I think. 0 0 1. Quite helpful data, lots of thanks for your article. 1 3 go. Pretty worthwhile piece of writing, much thanks for the post. 0 LINK 8. Here, I do not really imagine it is likely to have effect.
