Thanksgiving
The Thanksgiving feast is over wtih 2 days of heavy food. The turkey at my brother's and sister in law's place was fantastic. They made a 23 lb turkey, very moist and lots of flavor. Everyone took something home and he made turkey soup this morning. Tonight, my sister made lamb. On both nights, I didn't have any extra helpings. I didn't want to over do it. My bf cooked a feast (lobster, crab, sea cucumber...) on the weekend but I couldn't make it to his dinner.
But we did have a delightful Japanese dinner during the one night we were together. He also invited his oldest nephew to join us. My bf and I took turns asking his nephew how he is doing in school. I know my bf will bear down on nephew if his marks start do drop. He's doing fine he assures us although he's not crazy about Shakespeare and poetry. He wore a white shirt to dinner. At the end of the meal, he checked his shirt just to make sure he didn't spill anything (he didnt'). He let out a quiet sigh of relief and I chuckled. He looked at me and I just smile and gave him thumbs up. I can't believe he's so big now. He was just a little tyke when I started to go out with my bf. We've been together for over 10 years now. And for that, I'm very thankful.
No food pics today ... just some fall pictures from the local park.

I love autumn!...One reason to move to Canada...for the seasons...
Beautiful Thanksgiving meal - glad you enjoyed it. I missed the leaves at autumn!
@snowjunky8 - I love the change in seasons. I just don't like driving in the winter.
@Fatcat723 - the autumn leaves are so easy to take for granted.
How I miss fall colors. Gorgeous shots!
love the red leaves! that's a great shot for sure!~
wow, 10 years! that's really something to be thankful for.
I can't even keep anything for even a year *sigh*
Ten years with bf! Wow! I wish I had one for that long. And happy thanksgiving to you. I'm sure you're asleep though at this time though, hahaha.
was it ten years with bf or was that the age of your nephew? lol, i'm not sure
my goodness all that food sounded delicious! i can't wait for the fish i'm having tonight
happy thanksgiving!
Sounds like quite a feast. May I ask, how do you and your boyfriend arrange your lives? Do you live together but spend holidays with your respective families? That's been a point of a little challenge for Tawn and me, with his father not being accepting of "the way" his son is.
Happy Gobble Gobble Matt... I love that picture of the maple leaves!
When exactly is the Canadian Thanksgiving anyway?
thanksgiving meals without thanksgiving meal pictures? ok........
@Wangium - it was yesterday (Oct. 13th).
Happy Thanksgiving Matt : ) Wish you had taken some pictures of that feast you mentioned. All those Fall pictures are beautiful though. So does it mean if you had turkey on thanksgiving you won't have turkey on Christmas?
Happy Thanksgiving, Matt. Glad that you feasted well.

I love the colour of those maple leaves. By the way, times flies so fast, 10 years already!! Happy Thanksgiving Mattie!
so pretty! i love the fall because the leaves change color, although i hate how it has to get cold for that to happen. i remember 2006 was the first year i ever saw the leaves change color (that doesn't happen in hawaii or in los angeles)... it was simply breathtaking.
i wish i wasn't red-green colorblind so that i could actually enjoy the full range of colors on display.
luck that you have turkey. I have a small family, and it is too big for 2 people to eat a turkey. So....I don't have turkey every year...cry...
Beautiful pics!
I had *only* one turkey dinner but it was a turducken!!! Craziness I tell ya!
And wow... 10 years eh? Congrats!
thanksgiving?? totally forgot on that one. we don't celebrate it here. but real nice pics, though. real nice close-ups.
that 4th photo is great, matt!
