  • Big head

    I think I have a big head.
    No, not down there…

I was chatting with my barber one day.  As he was cutting and trimming my hair, I
told him maybe I should just cut it very short or shave it.  He grimaced and I could tell he was trying
hard not to laugh.  He said it’s actually
takes more effort to keep your hair short or bald.  When it grows back, sometimes it grows in at a
different rate.  So you have to keep trimming or shaving it.   He kept shaking his head
afterward and muttering “No, no… don’t shave your head.”

A few days afterwards, I told my bf the story.   He didn’t keep his laughter in.  “Matt – you do have a big round head!”  Hmm….

At work, one of my new coworkers tried to pay me a
compliment after I trained her on something.
She said, “You’re a good man Charlie Brown.”   I jokingly asked her, “Is that because I
have a big head?”   She laughed… “Oh no,
no, no… *gasp, choke* you’re so silly.”

Some weeks ago, I was trying on some new glasses.  All of them are so small and  tiny!  I was afraid that I would stretch and warp
them.  So what type of    glasses will fit
someone with a big head?  They have stores
that sell clothes for big guys.  I wonder
if there are stores that sell glasses for guys with big heads?   My bf tells me that  that my big head matches my big ego.  So when he compliments me on something, I
spread my arms wide and pretend that I’m holding up my ego inflated head.  Yeah… it’s corny.  So if you see someone that resembles a
Chinese bobblehead doll in Toronto, well - that just might be me!

  • This entry is just crying out for a photo of you.  Maybe a silhouette if nothing else?  Then we can all weigh in on your head to body ratio.

  • i have a big head, too. there ARE glasses that might help.. you know the ones that sort of have flexible bendy handles? they are very comfortable... i wished i'd bought those instead of what i got haha.

for big heads, i think in order to make it not look too big, is to have a hair cut where your hair is sort of in a diamond shape lol. that way your face won't look too wide. lol

  • I wonder if you have a hard time getting to wear a tee shirt too? LOL

  • i wanna see your big head!...lol

  • I agree with Chris. Don't be shy. Come out and lets see you soon.

  • Well, I don't know about big head but I keep my hair what is left of it trimmed very very short. The problem is the hair on the left side of my head grows faster than on the right side. Your barber is right about it being more of a pain.

  • As long as it's not a big empty head...

I like Liberty Village. I used to run down there a fair bit, sorta wished I had time to walk around more though... lol.

  • I was like that when I was a kid as I was so skinny due to sick, hence my head was so dominant XD

  • good grief, Charlie Brown = p

Well, perhaps it's not that bad. There may be worse heads in the world.   e.g.  Tom Hank - hair = no no
I actually feel blessed with my head.  It just so happens to be so aerodynamic that it may enhance my speed when I swim and what not.

  • growing up i had huge ears that stuck out the side of my head

like the handles on a kettle,,, lucky as i was, my head grew into them.

(at least I hope it did).

    peace *~matthew~*

  • @christao408 - silhouette?  it's just a big shadow....  hahahaha

@twistedoff - I'll have to start a blogring for folks like us.  I was going through your archives.  I left a comment on your first Xanga entry - neat.

@curry69curry - watching the head pop out is like watching a baby come out.  hee hee...

@ayu_motosan - get in line... hahahaha

@ZSA_MD - oh good grief... you'll be on the floor laughing and won't be able to get up.

@Fatcat723 - hmm... I guess it's more obvious when you have short hair.

@spacerboi -   I need to take up running.

@zozoyork - and you look great now.

@alchemystfury - thanks for the hugz...

@bleuzeus - hmm.... *checks ears*, they seem to be ok.

  • I did not notice any bigheadness when we met at Will gig Matt.

Perhaps you've an unusually smaller than normal body?

  • hahaha  your body is just so incredibly thin and fit that your head looks big in proportion.  or maybe it's a measure of how smart you are.  either way, don't be ashamed of your big head...  let us see a picture!

  • ha, ha... you're so funny.  it's true what your baber said about the need to trim your hair frequently.  the last time i went to a barber or hair dresser was 2 and half years ago and counting.  no, no, no i don't have a long hair.  back in summer 2006 i've decided to purchase myself a hair clipper and save time and money from the monthly barber visits.  i keep my hair very short but i have to trim it every a couple of weeks or less.  it's a bit of work but at least i won't need to make an appointment.  i can do it whenever it suits my time and i've done it late at night several times too.  granted i'm no artist so i won't be able to do any fancy style but a little clip here, a little trim there and wallah! it's short and neat.

  • Interesting entry!  My head is big as well, and it's very difficult to find the perfect pair of glasses with the perfect frame width, and more importantly the perfect arm length.  My new pair still does not fit me well after numerous adjustment.

  • You should post a picture of said head and/or give a possible comparison fruit...

  • @AppsScraps - hahaha... you remember!

@kunhuo42 - I don't think the words "incredibly thin" has been used to describe me.  Oh my..  another request for a picture.  Didn't that cartoon help?

@rudyhou - I've always wondered how people trim their own hair - especially at the back.  It must be tricky.

    @dolphin27 - I'm setting up a big head club.  (dai tow ...)

@apocatim - uhm.. watermelon?  pumpkin?  lol....

  • Ah! A fellow big-headed person (no, not down there either).

For me, hair and hats are both problematic. If I keep my hair long and poofy, my head looks even BIGGER. As for hats, I can find non-oversized hats that fit, but they just seem small on my BIG HEAD. Again it's worse if I keep my hair long: big head + big hair = hat no longer fits.

But just to console all of us, consider people with disproportionately small heads. I've seen some people who're built like that, and they look pretty darn awkward too, especially if they're really muscularly built (I saw a man whose bicep was about the size of his head, no joke). At least with us big-headed folks, people assume you've a big brain too. :B

  • @Senlin - hahaha... baseball caps look so awkward on me.  My mom used to tell me that I have a big brain - lol.

  • Earlier today, I suddenly thought of your post and GRADUATION
    CAPS
. Man, that looks TERRIBLE on us big-headed folk. What do you think!? I'm
    totally dreading May 2009.

  • @Senlin - don't worry, everyone else will be wearing the gowns and caps so you'll blend in.

  • yes, very tricky indeed.  can't never get it perfect.  when it doesn't turn out the way you wanted it, just take it with a grain of salt and shave the whole head and wait for a few weeks for the hair to grow long enough for you to play with it again :)

  • The writer is totally right, and there is no skepticism.
