You Call This a Poem?
I dread this blank weblog entry page
Just staring at it makes me age
Sometimes I have nothing interesting to write
it's a bit of this and a bit of that... it's just so triteMaybe I should write about S&M
or bondage and other kinky things
But all of you will go Ahem!
And I'll get lectures "what were you thinking?"Sigh... nothing comes to mind
it's just me, sitting here on my behind.
I think your lives are more interesting
mine can sometimes be so boring.

No life is ever boring. Everyone has a story to tell. What is needed is someone who would listen. As to poetry? I write for my own enjoyment. If others come along and appreciate it, then it is an additional booster. Just like this poem of yours.
A little S&M never hurt nobody. Wait, actually it does =P
Which is funny, because I think the rest of us find your life interesting. I'll second Norcani's message that everyone has a story to tell.
@Roadlesstaken - But it is supposed to be a good pain, right?
@christao408 - sure. Of course I wouldn't know. mmmhmmm.
LOL! S&M...didn't know you were into that.
What a poem,,,,,Super funny though.
@Norcani - when I read your poems or Zakiah's poems, I feel they are in a different league. You folks know the right literary techniques and how to command words to do your bidding. I already had trouble trying to find words to rhyme - hahaha.
@Roadlesstaken - uhm... aren't you suppose to be this innocent kinda guys that women fall for? hahaha... (btw - I'm not into pain).
@apyus -
back...
@christao408 - my life is okay I guess.
@brooklyn2028 - honest, I'm not into any pain. The only S&M I was into was Science and Math (that's mental pain).
@darkgreenwriter - yeah, it sort of crawled out of my brain. Glad you liked it and thanks for visiting.
@ElusiveWords - now, who ever said I was innocent?
lol ... "write about S&M
or bondage and other kinky things"
What are you thinking ? ?
@vsan79 - hahaha... yep, I knew that would happen.
An amusing poem indeed (: haha
Try Haiku. They tend to come out entertaining
Blank verse is easier to compose. I feel as some of the others above that everyone lives an interesting life. I think we look for something spectacular to happen. Making it through the day sometimes is very spectacular.
@talky_alex - thanks... just trying something different and silly.
@chow@ireallylikefood - yikes, I'll have to find the rules for Haiku. I haven't done one of those since my English class in high school.
@Fatcat723 - oh that's so true - making it through another day and smiling about it is an achievement indeed.
Haha Matt...I like your writing. And what I like best, is you write in everyday language that we can all identify with. I like knowing whats happening in your world. Its not boring at all.
Hey, I find your life very interesting even without S&M tales
It's your blog, write whatever you want!
Yes, I felt that way
Today. I
Could not write at all.
Yes! Write about some kinky stuff
I fail at being interesting. Moo.
OMG! Mattie! Come here so I can give you a great big hug and a smooch. I love it. Now if only Chris would write something like this.
I appreciate reading your posts, but I hope you don’t feel obligated to post something everyday. Maybe just when something strikes your fancy.
@macphoto - thank you, yeah - it' not boring but it's not glamorous either. I mean, I just spent the past hour wiping down the counter, washing the dish rack, washing the sink, wiping the stove, throwing out the garbage... ah.. the day to day mundane stuff.
@TheCheshireGrins - whew! I don't even know how to write S&M stuff. hahaha...
@yang1815 - thanks - and I do. But sometimes I will censor it a bit as my audience might be a bit sensitive.
@xAnotherxCasexOfxTeenxAngst - I feel your pain... uhm, emptiness. Thanks for popping by with a comment.
@mmmagination - you'll have to give me some ideas Benson. It's not that easy to write these things.
@secade - moo - you passed!
@ZSA_MD - ahh... I thought you were vacationing and not checking Xanga! Now you have seen my silly poems! hahahaha ...
@Senlin - I don't but I do enjoy writing and it's a bit of a challenge to try and write something everyday. Since I don't have my PC anymore (I use my work laptop), I can't write a bit here and there and save them. So I just open up the weblog entry page and see what comes out.
@ElusiveWords - Wanna come to my house?
Wow that be cool
I feel like your take on S&M would be really weird. I encourage such thinking.
You're a poet and I didn't even know it!
@ElusiveWords - protected entries~
*Yawn* I am BORED!
Matt, come entertain me! >_<
Or you want a spanking?!
*whip* *whip*
LOL hee hee hee
@yorutenshi - maybe... thanks for dropping by.
@secade - I have weird thoughts sometimes.
@CareyGLY - that was a once in a lifetime thing.
@ZenPaper - good grief... hahahaha. You must be over medicated.
Poetry: I've never been good at
writing, nor reading. What I think
is well written others would turn
there nose too. Like many things,
art, music, etc, it's all in the
eye of the beholder,, or "be-reader"
as it may be...hee hee
*~matthew~*
@bleuzeus - I never really learned how to write well until the past few years. It just used to be something between a task and a chore. Poetry is something I know very little about - this entry was just something I was goofing around with. This is what happens when I can't figure out what to write.
What fun!
I'm done.
I agree with someone else, I think your life is more interesting than mine, at times. I have this image of you living in a yuppy part of town; jet setting all over the world for business; and you wearing a tailor made suit and being an important person in your company.
@stepaside_loser - oh... that image of me is not that accurate. I live in the urban core, it's more or less gentrified now but the crime is pretty high. There have been several murders in my neighborhood. I travel for business about 2 or 3 times a year and it's within my province. I don't have any tailor made suits. I'm just one of the many people "doers" in my company. So now you know....
@ElusiveWords - it's funny how my perceptions can be different from reality
Thanks for the insight.
