How My Day is Going
Sunday Oct. 18th:
- wake up, check emails, Xanga, shower
- drive to coffee shop
- grab a quick coffee and croissant, read for 15 mins
- get stuff at the farmers's market
- finishing making chicken soup and beef stew (I think I screwed this up the beef stew).
- have several moments of vegetation state
- do 2 loads of laundry
- wash all the dishes and kitchen stuff, throw out garbage,
- fold laundry, add to the pile of clothes to be ironed
- try and make some headway on an overdue report
- get ready for a 2 hour conference call for work in the afternoon but update Xanga first <- what I'm doing now!
- pack food for dad (which he'll have later in the week) and drive to his house
- drive dad to dinner
- drive dad home, pick up any stuff he needs
-do a bit of chores, clean toilet otherwise I'll faint
- check emails for work, look at bills that need to be paid, curse for a while
- read for a bit
- go to sleep, roll around in bed, get up, watch some TV, go back to bed (repeat as necessary)Here's how I imagine your day is going.
- wake up
- you go for a 5k run, swim in the ocean, yoga, pilates and a bit of weight lifting
- your butler has your shower / bath and clothes for the day all ready
- you shower and your masseuse is ready for you after you come out of the shower.
- long massage followed by a soak in the tub
- your chef has prepared breakfast
- you read NY Times, putter around with your rare orchids, check out the prize winning roses, decide on a foot massage
- while someone is doing you feet, you check Xanga. You summon your writer to create another 300+ comment entry. "And this time, see if you can knock that Theologian Cafe guy off the top!".
- you check the 4,504 blogs that you subscribe to
- you summon more staff to respond to each of them.
- your butler summons you to lunch. Your chauffeur delivers you to a swanky restaurant where you meet up with
your friends for a late brunch.
- firm up plans for Far East trip
- come back home
- nap
- visit chef in kitchen and tell him Chef Ramsey will be a guest tonight so make sure the food is good
- chauffeur drives you around for shopping
- return from shopping, butler puts away your horde of clothes, DVDs, gadgets and stuff in adjoining warehouse
- have incredible dinner, Chef Ramsey did not swear but is moved to tears by the food. You take credit for the food.
- put on smoking jacket, have cognac, cigar, read a bit
- read Matt's Xanga and laugh at his day
- call masseuse over again to give your shoulder a rub
- go to bed, chamber orchestra plays soft music to put you to sleep

Do you have a camera in my house or something???
Anyway, off to the beach!
Hahaha, awesome post! My days are more like yours, but filled with more vegetative moments. I feel like I fritter away most of the day “doing nothing”—that is, checking my numerous e-mail accounts for no reason, procrastinating, making messes to clean up, idling around on the Internet, etc. I hope that, with your busy day, you get a moment to relax!
Well.... how did you know me so well Matt? Ha ha ha. I definitely go for a four mile walk, after my meditation, come home and then take my shower. If I lived at home in India, many more things would be the way you have described.
As for your day, how wonderful to be that independent and caring at the same time. What went wrong with the beef stew love? I am sure dad will love every thing you make. Your Sundays are being looked upon by Someone Else Mattie. He really cares about the way you care.
Yeah take care of the toilet first. I don't want to visit you and find a dirty bathroom!!!
Dude how do u know me so well? Ur a stalker arent u!? Oh but i dont smoke and i post me own entries! But being rich is very tiring. Oh no its time for my beach party! TA ta!
here's my schedule for the next few days: wake up early, catch the bus over to the conference shuttle stop, pick up lunch to avoid paying for bad, overpriced food that you have to wait for an hour in line to get, catch the shuttle to the convention center, stay at the conference all day, leave the conference at 5, grab a quick bite somewhere to eat, come back home (probably having to walk part of the way since the bus i wanted stopped running an hour ago), plan out what i want to see at the conference the next day, go to sleep.
Work, class, sleep -- homework and eating intermittently. SO not glamorous.
@CareyGLY - gosh, how many staff do you have to to keep Hotel Careyfornia neat and tidy?
@Senlin - I do a lot of that too - the vegetative state is one of my specialties. I'm practically comatose.
@ZSA_MD - your words always bring comfort. You know what, my parents used to take long walks in the park on weekends. It was their chance to get away from the world. Instead of bringing the stew up to a boil and then back to simmer, I had it on medium heat and it was boiling for about 10 to 15 minutes. The beef was a bit tough but I think it should still be okay for my dad.
@yorutenshi - well! hmmph... ta ta to you too.
@kunhuo42 - you must have left out the massage at the hotel? hahaha... I hope you're enjoying your conference. Bring us all back some souvenirs pls.
@upandoutward - I feel your pain. *big sigh*
wow! you got a lot of stuff to do. mine is limited to
(weekends)
- wake up and clean everything else
- if not, go to church and teach kids
(weekdays)
- wake up and report for work
- if not, sleep
Lol that's not that good of a day
Where's the significant other and bow chica bow wow?!
Ah that was alot of work to get my party ready for tonite. I actually lifted a finger!( SHOCK) Oh and its takes more than 15,000 for me to have a small party. Oh if u guys want to come u may. Just say Yorutenshi Invited u. If u cant get in well too bad but ill tell the security to take u guys into the smallest room Which is about the size of 4 of my rooms(my room is really big compared to urs!) So lets see its probably bout 1 mile by 3 miles in area. So thats where u will party while the real guests will enjoy the larger rooms. Oh i have to go the party is starting. TA Ta!
I wish my day was as productive as yours. I woke up, showered, ate breakfast, went to church, had brief meeting, went to grocery store, got gas, stopped at mall, ate lunch, took nap, ate dinner, watched movie, browsed xanga.
i wish!!!
Wow! I wish to have that kind of a weekend. lol
@Renatojr3 - yeah, Sunday is like a day of chores. But I also vegetate too on Sundays.
@yang1815 - he was making lobster congee for the kids! hahaha...
@yorutenshi - I will be crashing your party soon. lol...
@emilierenee - well, today went by very quickly. Now I have Monday to look forward to. *rolls eyes*
@onmovement - I guess you didn't go shopping?
@dolphin27 - hmm.... which part did I miss out?
Yeah, Tawn's Sunday was a little bit like that. I'll have to write the entry about our trip to the beach house in Phuket.
Okay I admit we both need a chef and houseboi
@ElusiveWords - awww cute! BTW I'm jealous that you still have farmer's market! The ones here closed because of cold weather...
my schedule today:
- wake up in an apartment that you forget you were in
- stare at wall for 2 hours
- get out of bed and stumble to the kitchen for water
- stare at wall for one more hour
- check xanga
- pretend i don't have a hangover for my meeting this afternoon
- BS my way through meeting
- hangover hangover
- vietnamese food i hope
- fall asleep in someone else's home
what an exciting day.
@yang1815 - this one is a small neighborhood market held on Sundays in a parking lot. It shuts down on Nov. 1st.
@secade - I hope you made it through the day. btw - drink lots of liquids to help with the hangover.
@christao408 - lol... I guess I know who the butler was.
@Fatcat723 - hahaha. Yeah, I could use them right now.
What happened Peoples! U guys didnt come! ehehe i just noticed and u guys missed out cuz me played a prank on the jonas bros it was freakin funny! They ran out cryin i doubt they will ever talk bout it. I left them tramatized. Thats wat they get for being gay.(if u like them im ok with it this is just my opinion) Ta Ta must go to private island to relax.
lol, you have a great imagination, matt.
it's really nice that you make food for your dad.
my days pretty much consist of wake up, check internet stuff or get ready to go uni, during uni i cram my studies, do my notetaking, eat lunch with john at a restaurant or go to his house and eat, come home and eat, walk and play with dogs, laundry, read my novel and then sleep.
Wow very full day.
yup, that's EXACTLY how my day is, every day! ;p
You're such a nice son, making meals for dad! If I get to have a moment to drink coffee and read, that's a luxury for me.
@CurryPuffy - I try to do a bit of that too but mostly it's just chores.
@stepaside_loser - that's a pretty full day too. Thank goodness I don't go to school anymore. I remember lots of cramming on Sundays.
@vsan79 - yeah, but I sometimes veg out quite a bit and then rush around to finish my chores.
@rudyhou - ah ha! I knew it.
LOL, I wish I had people doing all that stuff for me.
I would list my events of the day but I'd like to keep what few readers I already have.
*~matthew~*
@bleuzeus - hmm... now you've piqued my curiosity.
Boo!
Happy Halloween
