strange thoughts
I get these strange thoughts when I travel.
#1 While I was on the plane, I kept thinking if I packed my underwear. I had to go directly to the office from the airport. I couldn't really unpack my bag at the office to check. By the time I left work, it was late already and I figured there's no way I could find a dept store. I kept thinking, should I go commando for the rest of the week? Do I wash my undies every night? Should I just douse it in Purell? Or just flip them inside out? As soon as I got into my room, I dove into my bag and surfaced with clean undies. Whew....
#2 I was standing just inside the main entrance of my office building while waiting for my cab to take me back to the hotel. I heard some door behind me open with a loud click. There aren't a lot of folks that work late in this building anymore. I did see the office cleaner walking by when I was packing up. I didn't see anyone else near my cubicle. But this guy came out of the doors with a pair of latex gloves. He was tall, lean and looked kinda angry. I clutched my laptop bag and got ready to swing it if he came near me. I figured he must be wearing latex gloves because he didn't want to leave finger prints in the crime scene! Actually, he was another office cleaner and he started to pick a few things off the carpet before wandering away.
I was relieved and resumed staring out into the the dark suburban wilderness, one of Jason's entry came to mind. What if there were zombies out there? It's just a big glass door in the main entrance (no security guard) and it won't take long for the zombies to smash through. I started to think of all the places where I can hide. Of course - I had to find my way to the elevator and hide on top of the elevator. Being a glass is half full kinda guy, I also figured if there were zombies out there, it would at least give me something interesting to blog about.
Thankfully the cab came and quickly brought me back to reality.
P.S. My hotel room faces 2 churches. No wonder I don't have any naughty thoughts when I'm in my hotel room.

haha....youre totally warped...love it.
You cannot hear me laughing. You are insane Mattie.
But I will tell you something. I had to drive to Chicago last weekend, and about two hundred miles down the highway, I started wondering if I had packed my undies. Sure I must have, that's usually the first thing I put in the bag. Anyway, reached Chicago, went shopping with my son and daughter in law, and came home late. Opened my bag, no undies. Not one. Well, I learnt how to use their washing machine the next morning! But I have excuse if I forget my clothing. I am old. ha ha.
Lol. Perhaps they built the hotel right next to two churches for a reason?
@macphoto - I can't believe you enjoy my warped humor. It must be the heat and humidity...
@ZSA_MD - lol.... I have been told many times that I'm insane
@JL789 - there's also a strip club very near the hotel. Strange...
Ah ... undies ... thankfully I always pack an extra pair for trips ... now if the Sheraton hadn't managed to lose a couple of mine (nice ones grrr) during the flood
Zombies! I'm prepared for the day. World War Z. I'm going to survive so much.
Silly boy!
Undies, CSI and zombies... you are so weirdly funny.
Speaking of Jason, where is he? Haven't read anything from him in a while.
Matt, you need a vacation - away from zombies and undies. Naked on a isle in the sun.
Boxers or briefs?
AND TOTALLY GO COMMANDO
Just go commando!!!
On top of the elevator is a pretty good place to hide! Except for that guy in Mission Impossible...
the worst thing about traveling is forgetting to pack something. one trip i forgot my phone charger, and had to carefully regulate my phone usage because it wasn't worth going out and buying another one for just a couple of days. i'm glad you had your underwear!
@TheLatinObserver - if I'm traveling for fun, I can pack a bit less. But traveling on business - I tend to pack a bit more. (extra socks, shirt, undies of course). I hate it when someone tells me the dress code at a client's place is business. Ugh...
@upandoutward - hahahaha... there will be blood everywhere!
@CareyGLY - yep!, that's me.
@Dezinerdreams - weirdly funny? hee hee... thanks.
@christao408 - I was wondering the same thing myself.
@Fatcat723 - ahh... that would be nice. But then I would write about skin cancer and getting sunburned where the sun doesn't shine.
@secade - I wear both! And also have those boxer-briefs when I can't make up my mind.
@yang1815 - we should have one day where everyone goes commando - hahahaha....
@kunhuo42 - I took great care to remember to bring that along and also my power adapter thingy for my laptop.
haha, loving the paranoia
@Roadlesstaken - well ... having to carry a couple of suits for "longer" trips does not help keep things light or to arrive with wrinkle-free clothes
@ElusiveWords - And post the evidence on Xanga?!
haha paranoid much?
I suppose your strange thoughts came from watching a few of those in-room movies? LOL
LOL, so much thinking! But I would be scared if I were in the office alone and someone whom I never seen came in.
I always worry about not packing something that I need when I travel. My mind goes on the same overdrive and I come up with all sorts of contingency plans for what to do if I really end up forgetting something. It drives my fiance nuts.
i always carry disposable undies when i travel. u can get them at the pharmacies inside airports.
Oh, I had a problem of not bringing enough undies... I just borrowed John's
I suppose if it weren't for John, I'd wash them in the hotel room and use the hair dryer or iron to dry them
Haha, I guess if you don't die, then anything scary or dangerous would be great to blog about on Xanga. Hahah
@onmovement - just a bit... hahahaha.
@CurryPuffy - oh gosh, no! I have to send those bills in to claim my expenses.
@mmmagination - another cleaner scared me once when I was in another office. I knew there were only 3 people left on the entire floor. But she was bent down and I couldn't see her although I heard her. It wasn't until she was right behind me when I finally saw her.
@TheCheshireGrins - hee hee... I try to pack everything the night before and use the morning to fine tune (i.e. what book to bring).
@rudyhou - I'll probably forget those too.
@stepaside_loser - yeah, I guess I could do that too. It's a bit of a pain. Let's see so far this year, I've forgotten my razor, toothpaste and my small flashlight (for emergencies).
@Roadlesstaken - my mind can be kinda weird.
Why not just get new sexy underwear?
@Wangium - I usually work till 7ish so the stores are closed by the time I get out. (how's that for a non answer answer?)
