I'm home
It's good to be back home. When I opened the door, the plants tilted the flowers towards me. The dust balls flew by my feet, waved hi and fled back to wherever they reside. The bowl I left in the sink from my breakfast on Monday was still there. The load of laundry wearily opened it's eyes and grumbled a deep "welcome back". It smelled a bit ripe.
Before I had departed, I checked the departure time and found out my flight was delayed by 15 mins. So I took my time going to the airport. I figured I would enjoy a quiet time to decompress before heading home. When I checked in, the guy at the desk asked if I wanted to go on an earlier flight. Boarding was in 25 mins. He told me that even though there's a long line up at the security, those with impending departures are being called out. So I rushed down there, breezed through the check in and was able to get back a bit sooner.
The only downside was the guy who was sitting beside me napped most of the time and his elbows started to slide down into me. Sheesh... any closer and my bf would have slugged him for being the "other man".
Despite sleeping in my own bed, I still woke up for 2 hours around 4 AM. The rest of the day was spent at my bf's place. We watched 2012 (it was ok... the effects are pretty good though). There were these 2 teenaged girls (14?) sitting near us that chatted throughout the movie. They tried to whisper but it's like listening to crinkly candy wrap being slowly unwrapped. It's was the first time I was glad the volume of the movie was pretty loud. I just don't understand why people like to talk throughout a movie. I can't wait for Rain's Ninja Assassin. I'll probably be screaming like a teenaged girl. hahahaha...
It's Sunday - the day of chores. I have laundry going, soup simmering and pork with sweet soy sauce on the go.
I have a pot of tea to sustain me through the day (and of course Xanga).

Welcome home!
I get so annoyed when someone speaks while watching a movie. If you want to talk- go to a cafe or something!
Welcome back.
Yay! Welcome back!
@macphoto - @JL789 - thank you.
@Dezinerdreams - yeah... I agree!
Yeah Me neither... Cannot tolerate people talking in a movie theater. I say a loud SHHHHhhhhhh, and then the culprits shut up.
Glad you are back home Matt. Hope the trip was good.
Welcome back! How come there are dustballs greeting you every time you returned from a business trip? I guess your bf does not do your housework. LOL
I want to watch 2012 as well as Ninja Assassin as well!
YAYAY Welcome home! I it nice that all your "friends" greeted you when you go home! I hate people who talk during movies and the so called stage whisper is even worse!!!
Welcome home!
What's worse is people talking during a classical music concert. That just drives me nuts!
yay! coming back home after a trip is always nice, and getting on the earlier flight is even better! mm... soup. i decided against making soup this week, but i've been making a big pot pretty much every week since the weather started getting cold.
I kind of like talking during some movies... is it terrible that I find movies a good chance to bond with someone? I try not to do it if someone else is around, though. I always prefer empty theatres
@ZSA_MD - I wonder if their parents never taught them any manners or maybe they're just in their terrible teens.
@CurryPuffy - hahaha... cuz I have a hard time chasing those culprits down!
@Fatcat723 - yeah, I almost want to whack them over the head.
@kunhuo42 - soups are good! What kind of soups do you make?
@secade - yeah, movies are tough to bond and converse. Same with bars - it's usually too loud.
@yang1815 - I don't think I've seen that happen yet. It's usually coughing.
@ElusiveWords - Bars are the WORST. At least movies give you something to talk about. But it's bad too talk in a movie unless you're alone, and if you're alone in a movie, it's hard not to get distracted and do other things. Such a difficult situation.
@ElusiveWords - I have seen older adults, even OLD people talking continuously. Once I saw this old couple who were just chatting continuously and I shshed them. They stopped talking, but I kept hearing this sound "phusst, phusst", every other second, and I knew they were whispering. It really got on my nerves. I moved a few seats away and then when the lights came on, I stood up and started to glare at them, and that's when I saw that the guy had his portable oxygen tank that kept hissing. I felt real good then....NOT!! I am such a beyatch. I should have known, I have heard that sound throughout my career. Anyway, now you know how bad I can get when I am in a movie theater.
Glad you were able to get back earlier than planned and hope your weekend left you recharged for the week ahead.
Welcome back!
Sounds like a nice day for you on Sunday, even if it's chore day.
You should do the 'half turn' when someone talks in the cinema, like in Seinfeld. Lol
Rain has such a hot body.
@ElusiveWords - O I have... I have orchestra center 3rd row season tickets to a local symphony for classical music and a few times there are people whispering and laughing during the performance.
I just want to smack their heads upside down and ask them what's wrong with them!!!
@ElusiveWords - all kinds... i think my next soup will end up being congee since i'll have all the leftover turkey bones from thanksgiving to use up!
I always love the feeling of coming back home!
@christao408 - yes, the weekend was relaxing and not that hectic.
@TheCheshireGrins - the best part about going on a trip is coming home.
Ninja Assassin looks kickass. I'm seeing that one for sure!
this past sunday was definitely NOT a day of chores for me. what did i do? ate, tv, internet, ate some more, more internet and more tv. it was just one of those days where i couldn't be bother to be productive. i almost took my sis' dog for a walk but it started to rain so i brought her back into the house and glued myself to my laptop. just surfin' the net. yeah, it was a mellow day and i was milking it.
Welcome home! Bf and I plan to watch 2012 sometime next week hopefully.
