Curious Matt
I was really dragging my butt yesterday. I use my cell phone as my alarm clock. I just couldn’t roll out of bed when it rang. I think part of the reason is that I know I didn’t have an early meeting. But I eventually talked myself into waking up. After showering and having breakfast, I turned on the TV, packed my laptop bag and put on my socks. I don’t even know what channel it was on – I just wanted to see the weather.
There was a cartoon – Curious George on. I’ve seen it when J’s nephews and nieces watch their TV shows. So what do I do? I slowly put on my socks and became mesmerized by this cartoon chimp. He was trying to get a fish out of a small pond into the adjoining bigger body of water. I watched for 20 minutes as he finally used the principles of a canal to get the fish out.
The 20 minutes just flew by and I had to battle the rush hour to get to my office. I can’t believe I got sucked into that. I think I may be regressing into a second childhood.
Hmm… I wonder what that silly monkey is up to today?

Never underestimate the monkey!
i used to watch curious george when I was in the gym. He’s a cutie hehe
Is it a chimp or a monkey?
Sounds like he is writing a blog entry! =D
I used to love the Curious George books when I was little!
I used to like Curious George a lot.
@Roadlesstaken - I think I’m going insane. hahaha….
@Got_Takoyaki - he’s got that high pitch “voice” that just kills me…
@Wangium - the website describe him as a monkey. You’re so analytical.
@christao408 - hahahaha… it’s a slow day in my head.
@TheCheshireGrins - @arenadi - well, glad this brought back memories. I had no idea I would be blogging about this little creature.
It does make a difference!
Chimps can learn sign language!
Ok, ok, all that aside, I think you are just procrastinating before you go to work.
I don’t think you like work.
Lol Second childhood eh ? Well as long you don’t regress back into temper tantrums, I wouldn’t worry too much ! Lol
Curious Matt is such a little scamp! It’s good to be curious, though, I think. There is always so much to learn!
I know Curious George – watched it with my niece and I have to admit I got drawn into his problems
Kids’ shows are amazing man! Gotta love a bit of spongebob hahaha XD
Curious George and his friend, the man in the yellow hat, are classics! One of my favorite books from childhood is “Curious George and the Chocolate Factory!”
You need to get a banana for Curious George!
hehehe i grew up with my mom reading me curious george books. where was the man in the yellow hat?
@Wangium - parts of my work are ok, there are definitely parts that I find very frustrating.
@Chatamanda - regressing into diaper stage would be too much I suppose.
@secade - yeah, I’ve always been a curious kinda guy.
@Fatcat723 - hahaha – you too? I’m in good company.
@whoosh90 - I’m not sure I can handle Spongebob.
@heart_beep - oh yeah, there was a guy in yellow hat. How odd, I guess he has no name?
@CurryPuffy - hahahaha…. he made me late for work! No banana for Curious George.
@kunhuo42 - oh my… another person that grew up with Curious George! I wonder if this contributed to your academic success?
There was a guy in a yellow hat. Curious George kept taking stuff from him (oars, lunch, shovel, bucket…). Oh gee, I can’t believe I still remember that episode. hahaha…
Cartoons have the same effect on me. Just makes you want to be like a kid again.
silly Matt~ haha
@ElusiveWords - Diaper stage ! Lol Would that come with the baby talk too ? Should make for interesting reading ! Lol
i’m not a kid anymore, i’ve never heard of that show. i never watch tv before work… i’m always rushing 99.9999999% of the time.
@christao408 - Haha nice one.
It is the staple in this household when the kids come over. I like the title Matt!!
That Curious George picture you posted is my phone’s wall paper btw. =)
I guess it’s our longing to get back to our childhood where things were simpler. Where mom and dad could take care of us and the most pressure we had was the finishing our homework so we could go and play. Felix and I were walking by a school today and I remarked, I wish I was a kid again…
haha I always saw curious George as the accumulation of all the naughty children I’ve ever babysat or taught piano to.
@oxyGENE_08 - hahaha… we all have that little kid in us still.
@tomatoboi -
yeah, sometimes I’m that way.
@stepaside_loser - I usually just check the weather, traffic and stock market. It’s on when I’m changing and grabbing breakfast.
@ZSA_MD - ah… another connoisseur of Curious George!
@inchyguy - hahaha… I would have never guess that.
@brooklyn2028 - there’s an old school in my neighborhood too. Sometimes when I walk by it, I wonder what it would be like to be back inside.
haha…cute Matt.
the cute side of you i can see from this entry!!
so how’s the monkey?
That is cute. I sometimes watch Care Bears
