Need More Time
I will try to catch up on your entries and comments soon. My Xanga is now down to about 15 minutes a day of "speed reading." I could easily spend an hour or two a day on Xanga if I'm not careful.
Work has been pretty crazy the past week with rampant rumors flying left, right and centre. I've been trying to take on my responsibilities from my manager and get more visibility. I'm trying to see what opportunities might unfold for me down the road.
I just want to play and have fun.

Just take your time. I know there are other priorities aside from xanga.
work place gets more stressful nowadays! Need to balance life and work! Make time to take good care of yourself, and do things you enjoy doing.

Xanga can wait for sure. I feel the same about work - need to be visible and take on some of the stuff the boss does.

i think i have like 3 or 4 entries to write. everything seems to happen so fast nowadays. next thing i know, it'll e 2011 already.
note to self, go easy. take things slower

I am so happy to see you Matt. I was getting a little worried. In fact, I was going to send you a message yesterday, to find out if every thing was ok in your corner of the world.
Take it easy, and give yourself permission to love and enjoy life.

hopefully you get a moment to catch your breath! i think given the changing weather, we would all like to be outside playing and having fun instead of stuck indoors working. most of us have definitely noticed a decline in motivation in the lab!

Glad you have your priorities straight
@CurryPuffy - it's those rumours about organizational changes, more layoffs, more outsourcing ... stuff like that. It's not very productive although I'm sure there's germ of truth in there somewhere.
@Norcani - sometimes I wish Xanga was my priority. hee hee...
@stevew918 - I think I'll always have issues with work life balance. Maybe you can hire me, give me a big 6 figure salary and 35 hour week?
@oxyGENE_08 - lol... I can't touch my Xanga at work. Everything we do can be tracked / monitored.
@yang1815 - I would love to check out your basement. But you're in Nebraska!
@m12k1177 - hahaha... well, if other more important things are not being looked after then it can be bad. (I can't believe I just said that!)
@whoosh90 - 3 to 4 hours - yeah, but I won't have time to cook dinner and clean up. (it has happened before)
@Fatcat723 - it's important to plant my seeds now and hope that they'll come to fruition by the end of the year (when I'm evaluated).
@TheCheshireGrins - thanks... Xanga is like a faithful companion.
@Renatojr3 - uhm... nope, haven't seen that movie yet. You're probably gonna get those 3 or 4 entries in before I get my next one out.
@ZSA_MD - thank you, you're always thinking of everyone. Yeah, just a bit overwhelmed at work. I'm taking a fair bit of work home each night. I hope the workload will be more manageable soon.

@kunhuo42 - it's so nice outside nowadays. My workstation is right by a window and it's so difficult not to look out at the glorious weather.
