sorry, never used it. (but i think it might be easier to post from an iphone, a friend switched because of that reason)
I only know it as a part of the key and lock mechanism or a glass.
I think of Tumblr as my micro blog and Xanga as my macro blog. It has a better photo/video interface than Twitter and works well with facebook. http://careygly.tumblr.com
i dont have one... but i know that you can reblog other blogs...
I use Tumblr
@tomatoboi - I just found yours and bookmarked it. Do you just cross post? Or do you just have some entries on Xanga and some on Tumblr?
@ElusiveWords - nope, I don't cross post except for my current photo project.
I post mainly useless thoughts there when I do post, kind of like xanga pulse. Like xanga, I don't post much on there either though. ^^
I don't use tumblr...all they do there is reblog and stuff...kinda like xanga's rec.
I love Tumblr. I don't use as much just because it doesn't allow for commenting. Tumblr would have been perfect for me if it had that one little thing. I don't know why they don't let you to comment on other blogs.
It's cleaner and simpler
Carey sums it up better.
I think it has better photo quality than Xanga.
I have one. I go on because people on tumblr has nicer pictures/graphics and quotes. =) I like how they have this feature where you can write a convo of how people talks.
You can save post by 'liking' them too. It has a list of posts that you like. Also, you'll know when people likes and reblogs your stuff. Also, you can ask a question and people would reply.
Tumblr is something between twitter and xanga, and overall, I dislike it. I recommend that since you largely like writing and reading that you should stick with Xanga.
how come everyone that's posted, including you matt, comes across as part of a commercial for tumblr? lol
i haven't heard of it. i love twitter at the moment, maybe we can all start having twitter accounts that don't disclose our real identity, like for some of us in xanga, and then we can tweet each other?
Haven't used it and until you mentioned it, had never heard of it. Checking it out, I don't see what purpose it would play in my life. I blog on Xanga and have a good community of friends here. I have Facebook for those short updates on what I'm up to, although I use it less and less. I can't find a purpose for Twitter or any of these other services.
Never heard of it until you mentioned it.
Nop.
not familiar with it... i don't think i could manage another blog; i can barely keep up with this one!
Never heard of it. I will not use it. Xanga keeps me busy anyway, I wouldn't want anything else.
I have a tumblr but it's mostly a repository of funny pictures I find on the interwebs.
I have heard of it and have use it once and got bored with it.
I think it's a lot like twitter, except blog-style. So xanga on hyper-speed.
I have a Tumblr and the only people I see on there are younger teenagers. I dunno, I just wish it had some older, more mature people on it that wrote things worth reading. Or maybe I'm just not looking in the right areas. /shrug
Why are you asking? Are you gonna abandon us for Tumblr too...
@brooklyn2028 - no, I'm wondering why a few of the folks I subscribed to have moved over there.
i use tumblr for photos and simple liners , xanga is for the heavy meat :]
