  • A Curious Stalker?

    Someone once told me (in a comment) that he sometimes has an intense curiosity about me sometimes.  I sort of chuckled and smiled.  But I couldn't figure out why anyone would be curious about me.  Then I realize I also have the same curiosity about a few of you.  There are some of you that are all over the internet - from FB, Tweeter, Tumblr, Xanga... I pretty well know what you have for breakfast.  Then there are some of you who are a bit mysterious.

    You intrigue me with your writing.  I wonder what you do in real life.  You pique my curiosity with your stories.  I wonder if you have other sites.  You lead me on endless searches in Google and make me become a borderline stalker.  Yet you are seem so nonchalant and carefree about what you write.   What are you really like?

    Now I don't stalk everyone and my curiosity is like the tide.  It just comes and goes... but if you see a bit of extra footprints on your site, don't be worried.  Although sometimes I don't leave footprints.
    Yes, I'm sure it's not a Xanga crush.  And uhm... no I won't reveal who I am curious about.

  • you're ninja

  • I'm curious about how you look I admit.  Throw a clue.

  • I'm interested in how not to leave footprints. Can you please show me how? hehe~

  • @Roadlesstaken - Strikingly like a red sailboat, I  suspect...

  • Something about the nature of communicating through a blog often leaves me wondering how much of another person I'm really getting to know.  That leads to my curiosity about some people on Xanga.  Also, there are some people to whom I feel especially close, and I do get a bit nervous that those tenuous connections could be so easily broken.

  • I'm the same way I think. Once in awhile I'll do some snooping but not that often lately ~ my keeper has me on a short leash.

  • I'm curious about how you look too!

  • And yet that maybe the big draw to Xanga - being able to speak freely and openly without really revealing what the physical person looks like. I think I once started out by stating I would be honest and open in my posts. That is still my rule - but the Fat Cat remains.

  • I am not so curious about how you look, it's not like I expect you to look any certain way from your writing... but I'm curious about your age :P

  • I predict you are 34 years old.

  • Yeah, Matt, I also think you're around mid 30s.

    From all of your blog posts and what you've revealed of yourself, I have built up an image of what you look like lol. One day I'd like to either talk to you, or see a pic of you!

    Imagine getting to know someone, through their ups and downs, after 10 years.. and then finally speaking and then seeing a picture of that person!

  • curiosity kills the cat... xD

  • I am sure you are like your mother's son! I am sure you have an easy smile, eyes that have a little sparkle, slightly receding hair line, average build, not obese, but not wiry either, and wear glasses.

    Please tell me how you can NOT leave footprints. Please.

  • Better than being a curious killer, right?

  • 'And uhm... no I won't reveal who I am curious about' haha That's what made others curious about you....

  • @tsotofu - a clumsy one...

    @Roadlesstaken - Chinese Charlie Brown or that wall mural in a previous post.

    @CurryPuffy - from Xanga's help: If you'd prefer not to leave Footprints, you can opt out here... but then you can't see footprints on your own site:

    @christao408 - there are actually very few pictures of me (except those mandatory family gathering ones, I always move to blur everything).

  • Haha I feel the same way about some of my friends here on Xanga. Their lives seem so fascinating that when I read about it, it feels like I'm reading a book. I wonder if I'll ever get to post something like that about my own life on my blog. Xanga is meant to intrigue people.

  • @christao408 - I have similar feelings as well.  If Xanga just dissolves overnight, I have no way of reconnecting with some folks at all.

    @DickDoktorII - your keeper sounds like a wise person.

    @Dezinerdreams - ed. note:  me too!

    @Fatcat723 - I've always liked fatcats... hahaha.

    @Senlin - I don't act my age.

    @secade - it's a good thing you don't pick stocks for me.

    @stepaside_loser - I'm average looking at best, average height ... it would be kinda interesting to meet in person with some folks.

    @yang1815 - you're always curious which suits your academic world.

    @oxyGENE_08 - meow!

    @SufiLover - I do look like more like mom than dad (or so they say).

    @agmhkg - hahaha... I should remind myself not to write these late night posts.

    @carpe_diem99 - yeah, sometimes I feel like the highlight of my day is doing laundry or the dishes.

  • hahaha  one of my friends is an expert facebook stalker.  maybe i'll ask her to track you down ;)

  • @kunhuo42 - I'm not on Facebook.

  • @Senlin - OMG freaking cutest Sammie puppy.

  • Ah...ninja stalker lol. I know youre not stalking me

  • @macphoto - Unfortunately, he's not mine! I found the pic on the Net (link -- for your daily puppy needs ).

    @ElusiveWords - It would be interesting to meet you in person. Unfortunately, you would probably be in a mask as you previously described. And you would probably make good on that threat to slap me ... or that threat to chase me in your car... hahaha

  • @Senlin - HAHAHAHA... omg, you remember my silly comments!

  • @ElusiveWords - Of course I do! Who's the curious stalker now? Clones of me are beginning to infiltrate your neighborhood as we speak

  • Haha! I can imagine you sitting at your computer Googling people. :P

    I think that's the beauty of Xanga though. On top of what people write we have our imagination to fill in the blanks!

  • i think the intense curiosity stems from the fact that you don't post any pictures of yourself... =P

  • pique some interest

  • lol me too. i've met a few really really awesome friends on here actually. my best best friend and then my husband (not the same person at all, but my 2 best friends!) :D

  • hahaha i have many stalkers... well i will just ignore them... too many for me to take care of .... haha

  • though i no longer sub to any of the other sites (security reasons), i too have thought like you.  i have met a couple of my xanga friends and i would love to meet with some more.  i do like the way you write and think i will hang out for awhile, if you dont mind.

  • i'm pretty sure that the rest of us are now more curious about you than you are about us.  i have a feeling that's exactly how you want us by posting this blog ;)

  • @brooklyn2028 - hmm... now that you're not in my 'hood; I can't stalk you.  (j/k!!)

    @onmovement - think Chinese Charlie Brown and you'll know what I look like.

    @consignedhearts111 - this is a very interesting community.

    @lcfu - you have a huge following here and at Blogger.

    @buddy71 - thank you for the compliment and do feel free to hang out.

    @rudyhou - hahaha - I'm just an average kinda guy.  You folks are more interesting than I am.

  • I'm not a curious stalker, or a stalker in any shape or form.
    But stating this may make me seem otherwise haha
    Well, I'm fairly new here on xanga and I enjoy reading your writing.
    I have to admit I'm just a little curious about you, you're so elusive! (no pun intended!)

  • @herDIAlogue - hahaha... I've been blogging anonymously for about 5 years now.  I doubt if I'll go public.  I'm glad you enjoy my writing.
