I'm not really violent
I need to get back to writing - even a simple entry. I think this is one of the very few activities that keep me grounded and sane. It's really difficult to get back into the swing of things once you've been away. I think it's like working out. Once you stop doing it, it takes a lot of effort to get going again and to keep it up.
Today was pretty well a day in slow motion. I woke up tired and with an itchy throat. It feels like the beginnings of a cold. The 2 cups of coffee I had during breakfast didn’t help me wake up at all. I’m having one of those weird, moody mornings. I actually wanted to punch the living daylights of someone. It would have been good to feel my fist crushing someone’s cheekbones. I wanted to hear someone screaming when I tear their ear lobes out. A knee to the nose would be a nice too. Maybe this is just a function of a bunch of stuff I usually keep inside. Or maybe I need to stop watching UFC & Mixed Martial Arts before I go to sleep.
We had our Thanksgiving dinner yesterday. It was kinda low key. The food was good. Both my dad and sister were under the weather and didn't attend. A couple of people at the dinner had colds. I tried to avoid them. They didn't receive any hugs and kisses from me.
There's just so many things to do and so little time.

Take your time. Perhaps a little exercise will do to get you back in shape. You are right...a simple entry for a starter. Welcome back.
welcome back Matt. hope you dont get sick.
take care of yourself.
Yes, write more! Healthy for the mind and soul.
One step at a time. This is a good start.
You can be the Canadian Genki Sudo!
Take care of yourself -- and feel better soon!
Maybe you need to get a punchbag from the local sports store?
I have one of those days now and again. Basically, I get some exercise asap. It maybe walking or cleaning my place.
uh oh... hopefully you don't get sick! stay warm and try to get enough sleep. we all have off days... hope things are better tomorrow.
Rest, Matt. Get plenty of it.
Every day of your life with your dad is a day of Thanksgiving. love. Think of it that way. You need to celebrated his life. Sorry you are feeling icky in the throat. Some ginger tea with a touch of turmeric will hopefully cure you. Blessings dear Matt.
I wonder what you might feel like if you watched something different before sleeping; like some viral videos where ppl ar doing stupid stunts or maybe you could watch some Adam Sandler movies and feel like you wanted to be a stand up comic.
Hope you feel better.
Get a punching bag?
@Norcani - it does feel good to write again.
@macphoto - I think the bug is going away!
@Roadlesstaken - you must be very healthy then!
@oxyGENE_08 - now if I can start keeping up with all my subscriptions. Your recent pho entry is making me hungry.
@yang1815 - I actually Googled him earlier in the day - interesting fighting style. (not that I know much about fighting).
@slmret - I am feeling better now. I hope it was just a one day thing.
@CurryPuffy - I think you might be right. It would help when I work from home.
@Fatcat723 - oh.. I hate cleaning. I did go out for a long walk and it seemed to help. I do feel better now.
@kunhuo42 - I do feel better and I am keeping warm during these chilly evenings.
@christao408 - yep, good advice. I'll try to get some more rest this weekend.
@ZSA_MD - those are very wise words! I did have some ginger last night and I do feel better!
@rain24u - I do feel better now thank you. Maybe I should watch something a bit lighter.
@secade - yeah I could use one. I hope you're fully recovered from your "hair raising" experience.
@ElusiveWords - Recovered from round one, but round 2 was last night
miserable!
@ElusiveWords - haha...Sorry, I'll think about you while I'm eating on Saturday. xD
Hmm,, I'm some where in between that mood and just setting down and crying...
Beating someones ass, or being the baby that I know I am some times.
I wish I could offer you some support Matt, but all I can really do is wish you well
and send that along on the wind in your direction.
Happy almost Friday,
*~matthew~*
Oh, hope you can quickly fight that cold! Our office had the round of colds about 2 weeks ago - glad to see it all out of our systems.
I wonder if my seniors have thought of punching the living daylights out of me! How scary!
I probably sound like a broken record but you need some good rest. I'm sure given your schedule it's tough but really hope you get some. Perhaps you should switch to tea? Just enough caffeine without the jitteriness of coffee. Since I've been off coffee (for the past 3 months), I find that I'm alert in the morning but don't have the negative side-effects of the coffee.
I know what you mean
sometimes I want to randomly punch someone too. Just out of frustration lol. Like others said though, you should try and get more rest ^^ that way we can deal with our negative emotions better.
@bleuzeus - I always appreciate the well wishes and can feel it in the wind that blows through here. (but make those winds a bit warmer please...).
@stepaside_loser - yeah, I'm so paranoid about it. I just hope it's allergies more than a cold. I doubt if anyone wants to punch you out.
@brooklyn2028 - no - you don't sound like a broken record. It's just a bit difficult to do this right now. I spend my down time at his place. I feel this tremendous sense of guilt if I don't. I think I'll switch to green tea in the morning from now on. I also need to get back to the gym too.
@whoosh90 - I think I need to hit the gym and workout more often to deal with the stress... and rest to as you and many others have suggested.
@ElusiveWords - I like playing badminton, jump smashes are just so satisfying
. Also I've taken up breakdancing which is a really nice stress-reliever, when I'm down you just turn up a tune and dance away
.
don't go jackie chan or jet li on me, ok? hahaha. btw, is it just me or there's some kind of a bug going on where everyone gets throat irritation and then voice loss for days? it's really weird. i hope you don't get that coz' i and now my friends have.
Chin up mate!
When is Canadian Thanksgiving?
What did you make?
Sounds like a seasonal affective disorder (SAD) blog entry...
@Wangium - Canadian Thanksgiving was on Oct. 11th. My brother made turkey, everyone else contributed desserts and other side dishes.
