Not so productive day
I spent yesterday in a bit of a half awake, half asleep daze. The morning shower didn't wake me up. Instead the hot water splashing over my body was so soothing that I wanted to just curl up and sleep in my shower stall. Lunch time couldn't come early enough. I staggered out of my condo into the cold, bright day and decided that pho would be a good tonic.
The small Vietnamese restaurant was full. The tall, boyish looking waiter with a crew cut smiled and asked me to wait for a bit. He found me a seat 15 minutes later although I had to share the table with 2 other guys. We gave each other polite glares. The buzz from the many different conversations was often punctuated by the clinks of the spoons and chopsticks on the plates and bowls. My spring rolls appetizer came first and I quickly devoured them after liberally dunking them into the fish sauce. The pho followed and the broth cleared my nose. In between slurps of the broth and noodles, I watched the waiter scurrying around; his pants dangerously dangling from his hips exposing his underwear (I think it was just a dark blue basketball shorts). He knew a lot of the regulars and their favorite dishes. He switched easily between Vietnamese and English with them.
I also watched a few ladies in their late 30's and 40's staring at his drooping jeans but trying to be discreet. I wonder what those cougars were thinking. I was pretty sure one of them would pull his jeans down. But sadly, all their hormones were kept in check. As each of them made their way up to the counter to pay, I thought I spied a sly grin in each of their faces. Maybe it was just the food.
With lunch over, I made my way back home to continue to write my reports. Sadly, what I've written here today is a lot more than what I've written yesterday.

where's the picture of those vietnamese?
Underwear...ehem...people watching much?! hehe
You sure you aren't projecting yourself onto those ladies? =P
That was good.... cougars!!
@maniacsicko - the food or the waiter? Alas, I didn't bring my camera with me. It's a bit awkward in a crowded restaurant.
@oxyGENE_08 - hahaha... one of my favourite past times is people watching.
@christao408 - I doubt if I'll need protection from them. hahaha
@Mal_P - growl...
I am hoping the waiter was not scratching his back and serving the food at the same time. I woud be grossed out.
LOL Chris meant were you proJecting your feelings and thoughts onto the ladies... classical Freudian defense mechanism. =P
@ZSA_MD - oh gosh no, I would have been really grossed out.
@ZenPaper - zoooomm.... way over my head. lol.... where were you when I needed you to translate that? hahahaha
It's 12:52Am right now, and I can't tell you how amazing Pho would be at this time.
Hopefully you've made more progress on that report by now.
I always thought that part of the food was the presentation hehehe.
@christao408 - Hahaha! I think Mattie was competing with those ladies!
Food porn and eye candy....not too shabby for a luncheon break!
Food and a sight. Nice.
@AzureRecollections - yeah, I finished the draft copy - whew.
@Fatcat723 - lol... presentation, I like that. hahaha
@brooklyn2028 - oh gosh no, their eyes were focused on the waiter. I could have been dancing naked on the table top and they won't even notice.
@CurryPuffy - it was a pretty good lunch break!
@yang1815 - hahaha... you bet!
Yum, both to the pho and to the image of the ass in my head lol
