Still Sick
I tossed and turned all night before finally drifting off to sleep just after 6 AM. I read for a bit, watched some TV and just tried to clear my head. But none of that worked. I woke up around noon and went back to bed around 4:30PM for several hours of much needed sleep. I hate being sick. I missed my Sunday dinner with dad and dinner with J and his family. The nieces and nephews called after dinner to say hi and that was sweet. I hope to get some rest tonight. This is odd, I had my flu shot last week so I figured I would be immune to the flu. But I guess this is just a very bad cold. Maybe I'll make some congee tomorrow.

I'm pretty sure there's too many strains of flu to just be immune to it XD. I had it earlier though and it's horrible, hope you get well soon!

The shots work by giving your body an opportunity to build an immune response. Takes a while to work. Bet you got sick before the shot had time to do you any good. Plenty of rest, plenty of fluids and stay warm.
I hope you feel better soon.:^) I have been sick since Christmas so I know that feeling and would not wish the way that I was feeling upon anyone. I am just getting over what bug I had. I was taking all kinds of Theraflu and Advil but nothing seemed to work. Get well

Well, even with the flu shot it doesn't necessarily protect you from every other bug floating around. Hope you get well soon.

1. May be you are responding to the virus in the flu shot.
2. The flu shot covers only certain strains. There are a bazillion other viruses around.
3. It could be a simple cold and congestion.
4. Now, for the last time, do you have a humidifier/ vaporizer in your bed room or not?? Get one. See how good you feel.
@ZSA_MD - hi, it looks like it was a pretty bad cold. Yes, I do have a humidifier and I fill it every night. It gets very dry in my condo around the winter time.
