Just babbling...
When I was in my teens, I thought I could tell if someone was gay by simply looking at their facial features. Somewhere there must be some feminine features that no one can really hide. Of course, this didn't make sense at all but I clung to this theory for quite a few years. Eventually I started to see other gays that had absolutely no feminine features. Some were even more masculine looking than straight guys. This theory of mine slowly faded away and I relied on my gaydar instead. (which is notoriously inaccurate). I don't know why this thought popped into my head. I haven't thought about this for ages. Maybe it was from watching a lot of 1 Girl 5 Gays. Or maybe when I look into the mirror, I notice more of my mother's features than my dad's. I never really noticed this until a few years ago. I don't have any of my dad's features. My brother and some of my cousins have them instead.

You need to get your gaydar adjusted!
Upgrade your Gaydar to the 3.2 version.
Time to upgrade and get your gaydar summerized
.
I hear they are selling the 3.2 version at Brookstone! xD
Oh Mattie! How could you not look like your mother? How happy your dad has to be to see her in your face and eyes.
Forget about the gaydar theory. Just be happy you are the way you are and are able to recognize people because of their smiles, and not some feminine features!
Get the gaydar app...
Ha ha...
I've always thought that the gaydar thing is more about spotting the person who seems like he isn't entirely comfortable in his own skin, or who at some point was not entirely comfortable in his own skin. Which, as I think about it some two decades out of the closet, doesn't make sense. But that used to be how I explained it.
@ZSA_MD - What a nice reply!
Apparently I look like my grandmother on my dad's side.
Haha~I'm thinking more or less the same like you! Guess I need a second person to verify my gaydar.
Keep blogging, I'm loving that you're blogging a bit more these past few days.
I have my dad's eyebrows and my mum's eyes and cheekbones. Maybe you have other things that your dad has - OK, I'll stop here to avoid treading too much into taboo territory
@yang1815 - yeah, probably. It's been way off lately.
@Roadlesstaken - oh 3.2 is out? hahahaha
@bengozen - I'm too cheap, I'll get a copy instead. lol...
@Fatcat723 - hahaha - that and many more things to be fixed.
@ZSA_MD - I'm not really sure if dad sees a bit of her in me. The cooking that I do brings back memories of her as it does for me. Thank you for the beautiful comment.
@christao408 - I've long advocated to simply grabbing someone's crotch to see what their reaction is like. It's a lot better than gaydar. Sadly that idea wasn't met well with a lot of folks.
@CareyGLY - I agree!
@Senlin - oh interesting, maybe you can "lecture" your dad when he doesn't do what you want.
@CurryPuffy - well, you have W to help with that right?
@stepaside_loser - no worries, nothing is taboo among friends. So now I have a bit more information on what you look like (hee hee....).
Dude. I read your comment to chris. I laughed so hard. Omg.... still laughing now. bwahahaha......
@christao408 - that's a really interesting point, especially about the part about spotting the person who "at some point was not entirely comfortable in his own skin." i have a good feeling that side of me shows up more often than i'd like lol...
@bengozen - I won't recommend trying it. hahaha...
@onmovement - sometimes I think I can hide my feelings / orientation but I'm pretty sure someone who is very observant can easily spot them.
@bengozen - Matt and I crack each other up. I'm glad we've never met in person because I don't want him to try his groping-dar on me.
@onmovement - I suspect that is true for many of us, Jason, something that can take a long time to unlearn.
haha... i LOVE 1 girl 5 gays! such a great show to watch. as for me, never can rely on my gaydar. never worked and probably never will. i'm so bad in guessing and judging people's orientation as well as characters. i've stopped trying a lot time ago.
