Sunday, Moody Sunday
It's been a very hectic few weeks at work. I barely have enough time to keep up with life. So if I haven't commented on your entries - you know why. I thought what would happen if I stopped writing one of these days. But sometimes I think it's one of the things that keeps me sane. I don't know if it's the writing or the community here.
I slept for almost 10 hours on Friday night and it felt wonderful. I can get pretty dopey when I wake up. On Friday morning, I thought it was Saturday so I rolled over after my alarm rang. I finally opened my eyes at 8 and it dawned on me that it was Friday. I did manage to get to work on time but had to skip my breakfast. There are days when I struggle to remember what happened the day before, is there anything important I need to do today, or even if I'm straight or gay. It just takes a few minutes each morning to slowly sort things out.
It's been raining a lot lately. It's a dreary, grey and cold type of rain that saps life and energy. It just makes the rest of the week even longer. It was one of those days when I had dinner with dad. As we were making small talk, he asked me where I lived. I told him "I live downtown." and gave him a puzzled look. He looked at me and blinked several times trying to comprehend. "I meant, where in the States do you live when you go home?" After a couple of more questions, I realized he confused me one of my cousins. I gently reminded him and he was embarrassed. I didn't make a big deal of it and continued on. I'm sure there will be more of these moments. But it just makes the week seem a bit longer.
On a more pleasant note, J and I caught a movie last night. It was "Battle: Los Angeles" . I thought the theatre would be packed. But I think it was only about 10% full (if that). There was a group beside us that cheered & clapped when the good guys fought back. During the movie, I made a mental note to Google that Asian actor in the movie (it was James Hiroyuki Liao). I just wished his role was a bit more substantial. Aside from that, there wasn't a lot of meat in it.
Well - today is another typical chore filled Sunday. The stock pot is simmering. There is a pile of laundry to do. The floors need to be swept. The dishes need to be washed. The bed needs to be made. The porn videos need to be watched. Clothes to be ironed. And the every growing clutter needs to be tamed.
How to procrastinate: Take pictures of your laundry pile and post on your Xanga. Pretend this is art. This picture is called "Boxers or Briefs".
/* edit - fixed typo on Google

I wonder what are the boxer sizes? Have a nice Sunday!
@CurryPuffy - size BFA... big fat ass. You have a great Sunday too Gary.
Matt, you forgot to mention what you thought of the movie ... as a cinephile, I need to know. I'm en route to London for a few days and am thankful to be rid of the rain! .... I hope.
looks like we now know the answer to that question for you -- boxers!
thankfully this past week wasn't too crazy for me at work, but i think i still spent a fair bit of time procrastinating this weekend. the daylight savings time change didn't help.
We may see a little rain here today but next week it sounds like spring may be here.
So boxers for you - by the way if the photo was in black and white one could consider it art. Meditation in Black and White.
Goggle the Asian guy eh? What' that a Freudian slip?? j/k
@AppsScraps - it was sort of like one of those formula movies, good for 8 to 14 years old, not much thinking required to watch. If this movie was food, it probably would be like a Chicken McNugget. You sort of recognize the chicken but it doesn't really taste like chicken.
@kunhuo42 - your procrastination last for minutes. Actually I wear boxers, boxer briefs and briefs. I guess I just like variety.
@Randy7777 - I hope to see spring soon.
@Fatcat723 - lol... yeah, maybe. I wear all 3 types - boxers, boxer briefs and briefs.
@Roadlesstaken - no Freudian slip, I always Google the Asian guys. hahaha...
love the photo
sorry youre so tired and stress. you are so good with your father.
@ElusiveWords - hahaha yay for variety! i have a much more limited selection... i tend to stick with boxer briefs.
@ElusiveWords - Haha check what you actually wrote above =). You didn't write Google.
Used boxers?! And posting them on Xanga. xD
you should goggle your porns.
daidaihua is the botanical name for a certain type of cactus that grows in South Africa. The plant is not that common there, but for many years, it has served quite a useful purpose for natives to South Africa. Often, it was consumed by hunters who would need to be without food for a period of time.
Sounds like another step along the path for your father. Must be very frightening for him as well as for you, to see his memory start to slip.
As for thinking about going away from Xanga, you can just continue to tell us who you're goggling. Or googling.
@Roadlesstaken - Oh gosh, you're right! I missed it on your comment too! hahaha....
@oxyGENE_08 - uhm... they were fresh out of the laundry.
@yang1815 - ok ok... I'll fix that typo.
@christao408 - for those who watch Jporn, they'll know what I meant by goggle.
i hear ya. this keeps me sane too. its the daily/weekly things to do that make time away extra good, dont u think? u really are so good to ur dad. i love how u r so gracious with him.
Thursday around 3 am i rolled over to go to sleep and it hit me. Tomorrow's Friday and not Saturday. Maybe we're just ahead of the times. Needless to say I blasted my headphones as I sat mindlessly typing things up at the computer. If I find we hired elephants for our board meeting, I'll blame it on daylights savings.
I don't know if I want to google goggle but a giggle might be forthcoming. Have a good week!
@ElusiveWords - pr0n goggle? that'd be awesome haha.
@AppsScraps - You have high hopes. London is so notorious for rain and dampness and the fog!!
Matt, I am glad that you spend time with your father, and are so patient with him. I hate to say this, but really, that's the way the dementia ravages the minds of our beloved relatives.
I once slept 10 hours too.
In the womb!
Matt, I know where you are coming from. Here for you if there is anything I can do.
@ZSA_MD - some days he's still very sharp and remembers a lot of things. I've noticed it gets worse when he hasn't had a good night's sleep.
@CareyGLY - I think you're one of those folks that get by with minimal sleep.
@Toro69 - thanks Fred - it's always good to know I have support.
@macphoto - glad you liked the photo. I think I need a monk to teach me how to meditate.
@caki730 - thanks, I just wish I could do more for my dad. I hope things at work are going well.
