Traveling on business
One of the things I don't like about traveling on business is trying to figure out how much clothes to bring. For 4 nights and 3 days of travel, I'm bringing one suit, 4 shirts, 3 ties, 4 pairs of socks, 4 shorts, 4 tshirts, a pair of casual socks, a couple of tees / polo shirts and 1 short pants to wear at night at in my room. I'm bringing one pair of black oxford type shoes & I'm wearing a casual pair to go to the airport and back and during the evenings. I was debating to bring a blazer and a pair of gray slacks but I simply couldn't squeeze them in to my small suitcase. Since it's a bit cool at night, I'm bringing a wind breaker. I've got a steamer for the clothes, the usual toiletries and even a flashlight. Now I see they are calling for thunderstorms for a couple of days. I've got an umbrella but wish I could somehow squeeze in a light trench coat. Except I don't have one and I don't have room for one anyways. I'll be outdoors walking from sidewalk or taxi stands to office buildings.
Maybe I need a butler who can travel with me. One that can bring extra clothing, chauffeur me to and from the various offices, make sure I eat properly, help me exercise and wake me up on time. He'll need to carry those big golf umbrellas to keep me dry when it rains. If this works out, I might even keep this person on full time.
Applications now accepted... pay can be negotiated.

I bring extra. Can't hurt to be prepared
If not, I'll probably get something from a store.
I remember that all so well!
@stupid_systemus - I've forgotten everything from razor to socks before. I almost forgot my belt today.
@slmret - I bet you don't miss it.
@ElusiveWords - Hah! Not at all!
Can you stuff these things in a slightly bigger suitcase? Get a trench coat Matt. There is nothing more pathetic than getting your good suit all wet and droopy. Safe travel, love.
OK, you need a gentleman's gentleman = I might apply.
@ZSA_MD - I think it is time to get a slightly larger suitcase and a good trench coat too. I only have to be soaked once to regret it.
@Fatcat723 - can I call you Alfred?
How well do you pay? Hehe....Did you bring your Canon too?
Don't forget to roll up the items, you can pack more that way and they shouldn't crease
@CurryPuffy - well, it depends on skill set, experience... I'm sure people will be demanding a ton of money cuz I can be a big pain in the ass. No, I didn't bring my D-SLR. I didn't have room for my laptop bag, suitcase and a camera bag. I only had 1 "free" night (tonight) I need to get a compact digital camera.
@AzureRecollections - oh yeah, I rolled a bunch of things (I'm a bit hesitant trying this with my shirts though).
Always bring extra.
Because of my school program I have to move every 4 months between cities... I learn to travel light.
You'd really have to look at if you're going to be having fun as well as business on your trip (from the looks of your luggage, you'd probably be wanting to go out at night to different places as well). Tshirts/polos can probably be condensed and by shorts I assume underwear.. because.. well.. what are you going to do with 4 pairs of shorts?
steamers/toiletries are usually provided at the hotel unless you're staying somewhere else.. but the single colour windbreak is nice to have for night play as well as for the working day.
so... ^ here's my resume, I am looking forward to your response..? XDD
fold them up and stack them nicely on top after everything else
P.S. Don't roll your shirts, they become wrinkled if your luggage is too packed and get squeezed
When I was still in the US, I traveled three weeks out of four and became quite adept at packing efficiently. Each week I would bring basically the same set of clothes. I bought standard dress shirts, mostly white, and standard slacks, mostly charcoal grey. That way I didn't have to worry about things matching. LOL
I always read backwards...so I have absolutely no idea where you're going. You seem really prepared, so you'll be fine
You can pay me with hugs, cuddling... and... SUSHI.
I'll be your nutritionist/personal trainer
@life365days - wow - moving every 4 months! I wonder what type of studies / research you're in. Yeah, when I said shorts, I meant boxers. I usually do a couple of hours of work every night so there's not much socializing. I think you have a good resume. hahaha...
@christao408 - Tawn needs to take you shopping.
@Devilzgaysianboi - I went to Ottawa. I don't mind paying in Sushi / Sashimi but you'll have to keep in mind I'm in a relationship already. As for personal trainer - I had no idea you have skills in that area too!
3 things. 1) You're in a relationship?! Congrats
2) Naw... but I have enough friends who are/taken them and read enough about it that I'm pretty sure I can develop a legit enough workout routine 3) What's Crystal XXXX?
@Devilzgaysianboi - I've been in a relationship since my Onetonman days.
It was that crystal balls reference in your other blog.
aren't you just describing a boyfriend? HAHA
where do I apply?
@yang1815 - lol... no, I need a butler / valet. If you get the job I would be a very mean and nasty boss. hee hee...
@ElusiveWords - And I'll just do everything you asked the opposite.
