  • Lazy update

I don't know what to do with this blog anymore.  I don't update it that much nor am I able to keep up with my subscriptions.  But it's still here.  It teases and taunts me when I don't write.  When I do, there's a feeling of comfort and a vague feeling of accomplishment.  I don't know if blogging is a form of creativity and expression or an eloquent form of procrastination.  I saw a movie recently (Contagion) "blogging is like graffiti with punctuation."  The movie itself wasn't that good.  I could have found better ways of wasting my money.

So my dear Xanga, what am I going to do with you?  You've been a loyal friend.  A great sounding board.  A quiet and non judgmental friend.  You deserve better.  Maybe I should outsource this blog to someone else.  silly

    Food:

This was from a recent BBQ - it's beef and lamb.

    Flowers:

    From a friend's garden.

    Fun:

It looked interesting at the time... this is as close as you folks will get to seeing me.  laughing

    Have a great week everyone.

  • Nice!  Finally caught a glimpse of the elusive Mattie! :D

  • Lovely photos -- I particularly like that flower, and that's a creative way of not showing yourself!

  • Woot, finally some idea of what you look!

  • Keep writing, please. I need something to spend my office days with.

  • I see you ride a bike.

  • matt, you ride a bike everywhere you go?

  • As usual very enjoyable photos - and ok I agree with everyone - finding a way to show yourself by not showing yourself

  • That pic of you is not good enough, Matt! You need to reveal way more - yes, need!

Nice photographs :) It's nice that you're still keeping your hobbies up :)

  • Contagion I watched it too......All I can remember is the very last scene of how Gwyneth got the Virus........
and your pic....that's a good one actually!!

  • Very nice photos and nice to finally get to "see" you. haha

  • The last pic is really cool and not because we get to "see" you.

  • nice!  finally a picture of you!  you should keep the blog going, even if it's just to post some food pictures...  i know i enjoy seeing what other people come up with in the kitchen - it's good inspiration for me =)

  • @CurryPuffy - I'll have to go back to being elusive.  This was too much exposure for one day.

@slmret - it's a nice flower and the sun wasn't too bright (late afternoon).

    @BenelliMan -

@Roadlesstaken - I'll have to take that picture down Alex, it's a bit too revealing.  hee hee...

    @beowulf222 - hahahaha...ok, will do.

@The_Eyes_Of_A_Painter - oh, that's not my bike.  It was just on the sidewalk.

@rudyhou - no Rudy, I didn't even notice it until you and "The Eyes of a Painter" pointed it out. I usually walk around in my 'hood.

@Fatcat723 - thanks Rob, that was too much exposure....

@stepaside_loser - thanks Andrew, I'm still trying to take some interesting shots.  I revealed way too much.  Didn't I fulfill your request with this picture?    Anyways, it's your turn. hahahaha...

@agmhkg - yeah, that movie wasn't much.  Thanks for the compliment Angel.

@oxyGENE_08 - that was more than I have ever showed...

@Dezinerdreams - you might be able to make out a red sailboat.

@kunhuo42 - thanks Aaron.  It'll be awhile before I post a real picture of myself.  hahaha....

  • I know I'm not here much anymore, but I do get everyones Xanga updates through emails.  Unlike many of my other Xangan friends who I've connected with on other social media platforms, I haven't had the chance to connect with you on them.  So it's my long winded way of saying if you stopped blogging, I'd be sad to not here about you and be able to read your wonderful posts!

  • @brooklyn2028 - *faints*  a rare Sheldon sighting!  I'm not on any other social media platform.  The community here including you has been so good to me.  Sometimes I feel like I'm not "giving back" enough.  I hope to see you blogging again.

  • Haha...I know, I know...I've been really bad at blogging...dare I say lazy.  I will have to do an update post soon.  So many things to update you all on.  Hope you're doing well Mattie!  If anything else, you better share your email with me if you decide to stop blogging...it would be nice to stay in touch as email pen pals.

  • @brooklyn2028 - ok Sheldon, I will.  Wait a minute... that means if I want to remain anonymous, I have to keep on blogging. Otherwise I'll have to give you my email... hmm... j/k.  I'll find a way to stay in touch if I don't see you in the 'hood.

  • @ElusiveWords - Haha. errr... I errrr....Sorry, go to go!

  • @ElusiveWords - Sounds so dirty. LOL

  • @stepaside_loser - hahaha... this is almost as bad as my "someday our paths may cross."

  • So Elusive made a footprint at my site. Well yeah I too hide my appearance a bit, but that is your perogative. Meat and flowers, I don't think that has been done in a blog.  I see a bicycle in the mirror, usually I put a kick scooter in my pictures.....

  • @brooklyn2028 - Sheldon said it best, Matt.  It would be a shame not to get updates from you from time to time.  I've been doing some thinking about my blog, too, realizing that trying to update it every other day (or more often) really distracts me from other important things.  Also, I'm subscribed to a whole bunch of folks who never comment on my site or even respond to my comments.  Time to prune that list.

  • @PPhilip - yes, I did leave some footprints in your blog and many other blogs too.  I check footprints from time to time.  I'm always curious how people find me.

@christao408 - I've always respected and admired the time and effort you put in keeping your blog updated so frequently.  It does require a significant amount of time.  That's one of the reasons that prompted me to start thinking about the future of this blog.  I really enjoy writing and the community.  I do need more time to tend to other more important things.

  • Sounds like we're in the same boat!
BTW, I always knew that's what you looked like!
We were going to see Contagion the other night, but saw Real Steel instead. I'm embarrassed to say I really liked it.
It was really cheesy, but deliciously cheesy...and very entertaining!

  • @CareyGLY - Chris is also feeling the same way.  I need to find a spark to start my blogging again.

  • Kabobs look good!

  • @yang1815 - a few were overcooked but I can't really complain.  The flavor was pretty good though.

  • @ElusiveWords - come cook for me~
