Just playing around
I'm just playing around with this picture. I took this over the Labour Day weekend. It's 2 of the planes from the Snowbirds who were here for the Canadian International Airshow. The photo has been cropped. I darkened the sky a bit. It does look a bit grainy.
All 9 planes. These are really old planes (CT 114 Tutor). I wish their budget would allow them to upgrade their planes.

I love that second shot!!!
Something interesting I noticed about the second shot.....nice pattern!
They are marvelous to watch. They are in the area here at times.
I love watching airshows...
Snowbirds ... Canadian airplanes or Quebecers living in Florida during winter time
I love to watch planes like these. nice shots Matt.
I'd love to go to airshows. Still haven't been to one in my life!
If you get a chance, go to the Evergreen Museum in Oregon, holy crap, that Spruce Goose is ginormous!
Actually, I quite like the planes, even if they are a bit... modest.
i really like that second pic. looks like they really practiced a lot to get all those planes positioned so nicely.
I love the airshows. It's amazing how they're consistently in sync.
Those little plans frighten me. They seem so fragile.
@slmret - @CurryPuffy - thank you, the second shot almost caught me by surprise. I was looking one way and they snuck up behind me. I caught them just as they zoomed by.
@Fatcat723 - they aren't the Blue Angels or the Thunderbirds. But their slow planes make them a bit more graceful.
@oxyGENE_08 - are there airshows in Manila?
@kachino - hahaha... not those kind of snowbirds. I wonder if there are still a lot of people who can afford to go down south for the winter.
@ZSA_MD - thank you, I'm glad you liked those pictures.
@christao408 - it's not the F14, F16, F18, F22 etc... but I still like these old planes.
@XtremePsionic - my brother and his friend drove down to a couple of shows in the US (can't remember which ones). They have better planes (fighter jets) than the ones on Toronto. But I understand the US gov't is cutting back on a lot of these shows.
@rudyhou - yeah, I remember watching a TV show about them before. They do practice quite a bit.
@KevEats - I always marvel at how they move as one. I don't really know how them memorize all their parts and also keep track of the others.
@secade - these are pretty old planes and while they aren't fragile, I do wonder about the limitations and longevity.
@ElusiveWords - NONE! Cos we don't have planes or even pilots to fly like that. I saw one while I was in Singapore and just wished there was a show like that in the PH...F1's flying above me! Yowza
@ElusiveWords - In the province of Quebec, there are plenty of people that once winter starts, they're gone until mid-Spring.
