Nothing to Write About
I spent an hour yesterday writing an entry and deleted it afterwards. It was about a pair of ducks that have returned to my dad's lawn. 1 hour.... 1 paragraph on ducks. Why is it so hard to write? Maybe I need to be in a more positive frame of mind.
Moving on to other things in life that annoy me:
1. Working from Home
Now I understand why people complain about the lack of separation between home and work. I work long hours and still do. My desk is a combination of work stuff and my personal stuff. I've found that when I work, I have to move my laptop away from my desk so I have more room to work. It also decreases the temptation to procrastinate. The sad part is when I do my own stuff, it feels like work. I still sit at the same chair and work from the same desk. The unhappiness from work just seeps into personal space very easily.
2. Driving Standard
It's not driving standard that is annoying. It's the pain to my uhm... balls. When it's not tucked in properly, it just moves back and forth when I'm press down on the clutch. It's not a big deal on a highway when there's little traffic. But when I have to shift a lot, it's like someone gently squeezing it every time I press down on the clutch. Most guys don't have this problem because most guys don't drive standard. Maybe I should just wear a jock strap when I drive.
3. Stupid Drivers
I almost rammed an airport limo on purpose because he cut me off while I was trying to merge. He actually sped up and almost forced me to the guardrails. I tucked in behind him and
went to pass him. But he decided to "drift" into my lane. It took every ounce of self control to just let it go. I must have a lot of pent up frustration and anger building inside. Maybe I'll take it out on the next person that cuts me off.

I don't have your #2 problem, maybe my balls aren't big enough. Although I do speed a lot...
Drivers who pull asshole moves really do tick people off! When traffic is bad enough that I can't really make much progress by passing, I just go back to the slow lane and leave a big gap. Beyond a certain traffic limit it's just not worth all the hassle to drive fast, it gets you no where quick anyway.
And as for #1, wow, I never thought of it that way. Maybe you should work from a different room!
If you mean stick shift by standard, then I never had that problem of yours. Maybe you are just trying to show off by subtly telling us how big everything down there is. LOL
@beowulf222 - LOL
I think you need a vacation at a monastery where you could find some peace and quet - but maybe even meet some ducks.
@XtremePsionic - I guess never are mine. I never had Matt's problem. I am going to google for "ball enlargement surgery" now. *haha*
what an ass that limo driver was. i hope he gets a pinworm infestation!
Yeah, the only thing I got out of that was BIG BALLS, as well
@XtremePsionic - @beowulf222 - it's just not tucked in properly when I wear boxers. They are not like the size of mangoes or avocados. hahahaha.... I should know better than to write when I'm tired.
@Fatcat723 - I actually like feeding duck, geese and other waterfowl. There's always one poor duck that gets pushed aside so I always make sure that one gets fed.
@l0311879l - I hope so too.
@stepaside_loser - omg... I need to write about something more creative.
@ElusiveWords - balls on the loose!!!
LOL I had to read #2 twice and like what? And then I read @beowulf222 comment. xD I'm still find it scary driving cos of stupid drivers. About working from home...I always think about sleeping so I try to avoid it.
When I feel frustrated at work, I usually just do something that will cost the company some money. That usually does the trick.
@ElusiveWords - Sorry, doesn't convince me ... I am a boxers-wearer, too. It must be a size issue. LOL
@oxyGENE_08 - @beowulf222 - I assure you they are "regular size", not coconut sized despite Nick's skepticism. Gene, I should fly over to Manila and teach you how to drive like an Asian.
@Xx_DeUce_xX - I guess taking pens, file folders, paper clips don't count.
@oxyGENE_08 - That's because you take over the graveyard shift.
If traffic in Manila is like that in Bangkok or Jakarta, I can see how one can get scared.
Next time a retard drives you nuts on the highway, let the horn go full blast and show him the finger. That might make you feel better. I am glad you didn't speed up after him; no fun getting into an accident on the highway.
Haha~your three points are so randomly funny in some ways!
@ElusiveWords - Haha yeah teach me how! You don't have to worry about your 'jewels' though cos I don't drive stick shift. LOL
@beowulf222 - Like what they say, Manila and Bangkok are kind of like sister cities. Similar in so many ways, TRAFFIC included. :p
I work from home, but I make a point to eat lunch at my kitchen table and take an hour away from my home office every day. It really helps.
1 A good friend once advised me to keep home and work separate. He had a point. Not really possible now, but if I could, I would.
2 Drove manual for many miles. Most of my stuff is auto now, but you either have a seat that is too narrow or big balls.
3 What are you driving again? Honda / Acura, IIRC? Back off and relax when confronted by the asshole in the airport bus. The altercation would not look good. Slow down and breathe and try to stay in pockets of the traffic so you have some options. Too many idiots out there.
Be safe Matt.
Drove stick shift for years and never had the problem you describe. Perhaps you are a bit too big for your britches?
As for the smashing into other drivers, I've become more and more tempted to do that here in Bangkok. So many people who drive recklessly and break the laws and common sense. One of these days I'm just going to hit them and since it is their fault, let them deal with the consequences.
Sometimes it's just hard to write stuff when it's not meant to come out. Many an entry of mine never materialized even after hours of work. Honestly, I can't stand driving in Toronto much anymore (even though I know it's worse elsewhere), but the roads are difficult to get around on without someone cutting you off or something of the sort.
oh my. this doesn't sound like the matt i come to know. and i had no idea driving standard could effect one's balls. plenty of people drive standard here. you sure it's not just you? i doubt wearing a jockstrap while driving would help. that would probably increase the discomfort.
Balls on the loose ? Sounds like you go commando !
@CareyGLY - I sometimes go out for a walk at lunch time. You're right, it does help. I need to do more of it.
@Toro69 - I drive an older model Civic. You're right, there are a lot of crazy drivers out there. Instead of counting to 10, I may have to count to 50.
@christao408 - maybe I am getting big down there. I thought having an amulet or two will protect you from other crazy drivers?
@paperblanks - it's not easy driving in the city now especially with all the construction going on. I hope you're doing well Dan.
@rudyhou - it doesn't help when I wear boxers and it "slips" out. Maybe my thighs are getting too big...
@Nostra_Damus - hahaha... I think that'll make it worse.
