I’m here!
Finally – it took ages for the internet to work its magic before I can get in. I guess the estimate of 12 to 36 hours were correct after all. So who else made it over?
And who are all these people I’m following? Where are the themes? And where’s that picture I posted of myself? (just kidding…). I thought it would have all those themes that I have in my WordPress account. But I think I’ll just take a few days to figure out how things work here.
I hope everyone is doing well and I hope Xanga will find a way to grow.
Why can’t I comment on people’s blogs?
Comments (42)
On the dashboard, click on the “comments” tab, and you will seem comments made to your posts. When you move your cursor over a comment, you will see a list of options appear regarding the comment, and one of them is to reply.
I’m not sure why you can directly comment either.
You’re my first reply! It’s strange. When I tried to comment yesterday, it just bounced me back to the Xanga 2.0 screen – the one they have during the migration.
welcome! this sure is different!
This is a bit different than my other WordPress account. I think I’ll gradually get used to this.
My Posts and Comments menus aren’t up yet, so I can’t post anything yet.
It’s still a bit buggy. I get bounced back to the Xanga 2.0 screen from time to time. But if I just type in elusivewords.xanga.com, I can get in. It’s good to see you here.
The people you’re following are the ones who were subs on Xanga — didn’t realize you had so many! Themes are coming soon, according to the Xanga blog. And the comment line is just under the last line of the comment.
I subscribed to a bunch of people (although 75% of them have stopped blogging on Xanga). I didn’t really keep track of who subscribed to me. I can’t wait for the new themes and for the site to be a bit more stable.
hi hi!!
Angel! I’m glad to see you here.
You can comment, but they require approval by the blog owner. mmm there are no themes and now way to really change the CSS either. And following page is actually for people who are following YOU. Reading page looks like it’s for people you’re following.
Xanga 2.0 is still a bit buggy. When I tried to comment, it just bounced me back to the Xanga 2.0 page. I still can’t get in if I type http://www.xanga.com. But if I type elusivewords.xanga.com, I can sign on. But at least now I can comment. There are enough differences here and with my other WordPress site to keep me on my toes.
Maybe people don’t want to hear what you have to say…J/k. It feels kind of weird seeing sites back up after a hiatus. It’s like the whole Xangasphere is having a first day of school after a tumultuous, but short summer break.
You’re right – this is like the first day back at school! But I don’t have new clothes.
I’m here!

Yes, I think it will just take some time for all the bugs to be worked out! I got some Raid and a flyswatter!
If you click on “Reading” you should be able to see all the posts…and if you click on comment you should be able to comment. They have to approve the first comment you make before anyone can see it.
HUGS!!!
PS…been praying for you!
You’re here and on my other site! Thank you for the prayers – they are much appreciated.
Made it over, although there will be a long period of adjustment. Kind of liking my real WP site (christao.net) better…
It’s a bit different than my other WordPress site. I didn’t migrate my old stuff there. I kinda like my other WP site too. There are some other neat blogs I’m following. Now if I can just muster the strength to write a new entry.
*waves* I see you! I don’t think I followed you before, or maybe I did.. but was just so happy to see another Xangian I HAD to comment
hahaha… *waves back* I’m glad to see you too.
Awww glad you’re one of the fews to make it over. I really enjoyed your blog and was sad thinking you’d be gone. So I’m happy. Despite having to get used to all the new changes.
Awww… thank you. It’s good to see familiar faces here.
Welcome “home”.
Carey! It’s good to see you visiting.
Good to see you here, seems quite a few crossed over, I hope we all figure it out!
“crossed over” – are we in heaven? Ok – Xanga heaven. It’ll take me some time to get used to all this.
Good to see that is is working, though still some glitches. I hope things are improving for you Matt.
It’s a bit tiring some days. But it’s good to see you here too.
things will get easier…
I hope so, I’m sure I’ll whine for a bit as I adjust to the changes.
Hello.
Thanks for dropping by!
Yay! Glad to see you on here.
Same here… I’m still trying to get used to the interface here.
Hi Matt, yay! Xanga and blogging is here for a little while longer.
It’s good to see you here too. I guess I should write a real entry soon.
I left a comment the other day, but don’t see it. Sorry. Maybe I did something wrong. Anyway, welcome home.
It’s there (maybe it’s still a bit buggy).
Commenting on blogs was about the only thing I could do the day it started. I just figured out yesturday how to post blogs.
hi matt! i moved to wordpress too…won’t be using my xanga anymore:

I saw it and will be monitoring for your daily entries.
